Is Your Turkish Clinic Authorized? Check the Official Registry

Türkiye requires health facilities that treat international patients to hold a Ministry of Health authorization certificate. The Ministry publishes the authorized list only as large PDF files — we parsed all 4,913 facilities into this free search so you can verify a clinic in seconds.

Tip: clinics often register under their legal name (e.g. “Özel … Polikliniği”). Try a distinctive word from the name, or the doctor's surname.

Key facts from the registry (July 2026 snapshot)

  • As of the July 2026 snapshot, 4,913 health facilities hold Türkiye's international health tourism authorization — 539 hospitals, 137 medical centers, and 4,237 practices, polyclinics and other facilities.
  • Istanbul alone accounts for 2,284 authorized facilities — more than any other province; Antalya (566), Ankara (412) and Izmir (407) follow.
  • The registry lists facilities by legal entity name, not brand name. Example: the well-known “Dr. Serkan Aygin Clinic” appears as Özel Dr. Muharrem Serkan Aygın Muayenehanesi.
  • Under Türkiye's international health tourism regulation (Official Gazette No. 32882, 26 April 2025), authorized facilities may not work with unauthorized intermediaries, and facilities serving international patients must hold this certificate.

Why this matters

It's the law, not a nice-to-have.

Türkiye's international health tourism regulation (April 2025) requires facilities serving international patients to hold an authorization certificate — and forbids authorized facilities from working with unauthorized intermediaries. A clinic marketing to you in English should be on this list.

A miss here doesn't automatically mean “unauthorized.”

Many clinics operate under a legal entity name that differs from their brand — e.g. Dr. Serkan Aygin Clinic is registered as “Özel Dr. Muharrem Serkan Aygın Muayenehanesi.” If you can't find a clinic, ask them directly for their authorization certificate number, then search that legal name here.

Authorization ≠ quality.

The certificate confirms legal eligibility to treat international patients — it says nothing about surgical technique, who performs each stage, or results. That's what our independent vetting covers on top. For the full verification walkthrough, see how to verify a Turkish clinic's license step by step.
