Why we built this
Hair transplant is a one-shot decision: it's surgery, the donor area can be permanently exhausted, and the result is on your face for the rest of your life. But the existing options for researching a clinic in the United States are uniformly bad:
- Generic medical directories list anyone with an active license — without checking whether they actually do hair transplants.
- "Best of" lists are often paid placements masquerading as editorial.
- Forum threads are useful but unstructured, scattered, and often years out of date.
- Reviews on Yelp / Google / RealSelf are easily manipulated.
Right Hair Transplant takes the opposite approach: structured data, verified credentials, no pay-for-rank.
Our editorial standard
Before a clinic appears on Right Hair Transplant, we check:
U.S. NPI registry
Every clinic and lead surgeon must have an active National Provider Identifier (NPI), the U.S. government's healthcare provider registry.
Board certification
We confirm board certification — Plastic Surgery (ABPS), Dermatology (ABD), Otolaryngology (ABOTO), or Hair Restoration Surgery (ABHRS) — before tier assignment.
ISHRS / ABHRS membership
"Premium Verified" listings are members of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery or hold an ABHRS Diplomate.
Active practice
Marketing site live, real address, working phone, and demonstrable hair-restoration focus on the clinic's own materials.

How we make money
Today, Right Hair Transplant is fully free for patients and free to list for clinics. Our long-term model is paid features for clinics — featured placement on city archives, premium analytics for claimed listings, vendor-managed photo and before/after galleries — never pay-to-rank or hide-the-bad. Editorial integrity is the product.
Who we are
Right Hair Transplant is an independent project — not affiliated with any clinic, surgeon group, or industry association. We're U.S.-based and operate the platform out of our own pocket while we build out the verified directory.
